Police: One Person Injured In Shooting Incident
[Updated] Police have responded to a firearms incident on Court Street this morning [Dec 22] where multiple police vehicles and officers can be seen in the area, and initial reports suggest someone may have been injured.
Further details are limited at this time, however we will update as able.
Update 2.37am: Police officers could be seen searching the area with flashlights.
Update 3.45am: Police Corporate Communications Manager Gary Moreno said, “At around 1:38 this morning, police received a report of a firearms incident inside the Spinning Wheel Night Club on Court Street in Pembroke.
“Upon arrival, officers confirmed that a firearm was discharged inside the night club.
“One person was shot during the incident.
“The injured person was taken to King Edward Hospital for treatment to their injuries, the severity of which is unknown at this time.
“Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact the main police number, 295-0011 or the Confidential Crime Stoppers number, 800-8477.”
So there aren’t any medal detectors at the door. Or was the firearm sneeked in? That means it’s not a safe place to go. Are they gonna shut them down for 24 hours.
