In celebration of Epiphany in France, the Alliance Francaise des Bermudes recently celebrated the “Galette des Rois” at the Loren on South Road, Smith’s.

A spokesperson said, “Members and friends of the Alliance Francaise des Bermudes recently enjoyed the traditional sharing of the Galette des Rois at the Loren on South Road, Smith’s. The custom takes place in celebration of Epiphany in France and francophone countries and involves millions who partake of a scrumptious pastry in which a small token is hidden.

“Whoever finds a token in their slice is declared King or Queen and is given a golden crown to wear for the night.”
