Sanaa Morris Qualifies For Carifta Games

Sanaa Morris has qualified for the Carifta Games by meeting the standard in the U17 200m.

Bermuda National Athletics Association President Donna Raynor said, “BNAA are pleased to say that we have another Carifta qualifier.

“Sanaa Morris, who is currently at IMG Academy, has met the standard in the U17 200m. Her team competed in the Galleria Games, Birmingham, Alabama.

“Sanaa competed in the 200m placing 9th overall out of 79 competitors running a time of 25.99 with the standard in the U17 girls 26.00. She also competed in the 400m placing 6th overall out of 73 competitors running a time of 59.87 just off the standard of 58.50. Sanaa was part of the bronze medal 4X100m Girls relay team in Carifta last year.

“Her mom Delight Morris has told us that she has adjusted well at the Academy and is truly enjoying her training and competition.

“We look forward to hearing even greater news from Sanaa this year.“
