Cybersecurity Masterclasses Set For January 16

The TLC Group is getting set to offer Data Protection and Cybersecurity Incident Response Masterclasses on Thursday, January 16 at the Cranleigh offices in Washington Mall.

A spokesperson said, “Many organisations still think a data breach or cyber attack will never happen to them, and simply wait for a threat to present itself before figuring out how to deal with it.

“With upcoming regulatory changes, such as the enforcement of Bermuda’s Personal Information Protection Act [PIPA] and the adoption of the BMA’s Cyber Risk Management Code of Conduct, organisations will now need to adopt a much more proactive approach that leaves them prepared for any potential incidents.

“The best way to do this is by creating an incident response plan – a pre-determined and regularly tested strategy to be followed in the event of an incident such as a cyber attack or data breach. It’s often the aftermath of these attacks that causes the most damage, but incident response plans help businesses minimise that risk and resume normal business activities quicker.”
