Bermuda Ball Hockey: Admirals & Americans Win

The Bermuda Ball Hockey League season recently continued with a double header at PCC Hockey Rink, with the two matches producing 18 goals.

Manitoba Moose 3 – Milwaukee Admirals 5

In the opener, the Milwaukee Admirals defeated the Manitoba Moose 5 – 3.

Neither team scored in the first period, before Greg Van Der Made gave the Manitoba Moose the lead, but Ross Rufiange scored twice to close out the second period for the Milwaukee Admirals to hold a 2 – 1 lead.

The third period saw a total of five goals scored. The Milwaukee Admirals went up 3 – 1 when Curran Trenouth opened the scoring in the period, but the Manitoba Moose were back within one when Ed Sweeney found the back of the net.

Darren Maksymetz restored the Milwaukee Admirals two goal lead when he scored, and then Rufiange completed his hat trick to extend the Milwaukee Admiral lead to 5 – 2. The Manitoba Moose were able to score again, this time getting a goal off the stick of Andrew Bonner.

Allen Americans 6 – Muskegon Lumberjacks 4

The nightcap saw 10 goals between the two teams, with the Allen Americans defeating the Muskegon Lumberjacks 6 – 4.

Brian White led the Allen Americans with two goals, while Jacod Fenske, Ronnie Dzurus, Ian Beaudoin, and Mark Waddington all added a goal each.

Alex Ostrov scored a hat trick to lead the Muskegon Lumberjacks, with Jeremy Estey adding the other goal.
