Bermuda Ball Hockey: Red Army & Spiders Win

Following several postponed nights due to the weather conditions, action in the Bermuda Ball Hockey League returned to the PCC Hockey Rink with 19 goals scored in a double header.

Milwaukee Admirals 3 – Red Army 4

In the opener the Red Army edged the Milwaukee Admirals 4 – 3. The Red Army took the lead in the first period with a goal off the stick of Christopher Jackson, but Curran Trenouth equalized for the Milwaukee Admirals as the teams went to the first break with the score level at 1-1.

The second period saw the Red Army score twice while holding the Milwaukee Admirals to just one goal. Christopher Merritt and Jackson scored a goal each for the Red Army, while Ross Rufiange scored the lone goal for the Milwaukee Admirals.

Merritt scored his second goal of the game early in the third period to give the Red Army a 4 – 2 lead, but Robbie Bailey pulled the Milwaukee Admirals within one but they ran out of time looking for the equalizer.

Lone Star Brahmas 5 – San Francisco Spiders 7

In the nightcap the San Francisco Spiders defeated the Lone Star Brahmas 7 – 5.

The San Francisco Spiders got two goals from Adrian Stromberg and Shane Matchett, while Shannon Gosse, Sebastien Senechal and Matt Mcphail all added a goal each in the win.

Chris Cairns and Andrew Leavy both scored twice for the Lone Star Brahmas, with Jacob Notermann added the other.
