Netball: Lindo’s Tigers & Phoenix Heat Win
Two highly contested Senior League makeup matches were played at the Bernards Park as Bermuda Netball Association’s Winter League resumed.
Lindo’s Tigers 41 - Storm 40
The opening match saw the League Leaders Lindo’s Tigers edge the Storm 41 – 40.
The Lindo’s Tigers got 31 goals from Jahtuere Trott, while Apryl Jackson added 8 goals and Demiqua Daniels scored twice, with Fiesta Miller named MVP. The Storm got 28 goals from Nabiilah Nasir, Elishe Smith added 7 goals and Zakiyah Durham scored 5 times, while Kaamilah Nasir was the Storm MVP.
Phoenix Heat 60 – Docksiders 41
The resurging Docksiders fell short in their bid to pick up their second win of the league season when they were defeated 60 – 41 to the Phoenix Heat. Danielle Rayner led the Phoenix Heat to victory with 43 goals, while MVP Ebonie Burgess added 13 goals and Dominique Richardson scored 4 goals. Steph Driver was named the Docksiders MVP.
