Covid-19: Temporary Closing of BUEI Facilities
BUEI’S Ocean Discovery Centre, gift shop and tram will be temporarily closing to the public effective today [March 17] for a minimum of two weeks.
A spokesperson said, “The health and safety of BUEI’s community — our guests, members, supporters, and team members — is our top priority.
“With that consideration in mind, BUEI’S Ocean Discovery Centre, gift shop and tram will be temporarily closing to the public effective March 17th for a minimum of two weeks. We are also postponing lectures and films scheduled during this time.
“We do not take this decision lightly, and are taking action following the recommendations of the Bermuda Government, the Center for Disease Control [CDC] and the World Health Organisation, who have all advised that social distancing is critical to preventing the spread of the coronavirus.
“We continue to monitor COVID19 developments and official recommendations, and we will provide regular updates regarding closure going forward. For more information visit buei.bm.”
