Corona League Postponed Due To Covid-19

March 18, 2020

As the ongoing coronavirus pandemic continues, the Corona League board has decided to postpone the Corona Football League until it is deemed safe to resume.

Corona League President Mike McGrath said, “The board has taken time to review the continually changing events both in Bermuda and worldwide regarding the Covid-19 pandemic so that we could make an informed decision regarding the league.

“In the interest of the health and safety of players, officials and spectators and to reduce the risk of spreading the virus, we have decided to postpone the Corona League and its cup competitions until it is deemed safe to resume.

“We hope to play out the remainder of the season and are exploring the possibility of introducing mid-week double headers to condense the remaining portion of the league when it is safe to resume for everyone involved in the league.”
