Lindo’s 10k Running Road Race And Walk-A-Thon

8th March 2020

From Lindo’s Family Foods Ltd., Warwick To Lindo’s Market Ltd., Devonshire

The Ministry of Public Works wishes to inform motorists that there will be a Running and Walking Road Race from Lindo’s Family Foods Ltd., 128, Middle Road, Warwick to Lindo’s Market Ltd., 4, Watlington Road East, Devonshire.

The race event will take place on 08th March, 2020 from 8.30 am until 11pm. Motorists are to use caution when passing the participants and to abide with the traffic signs posted along the route during the times of these events.

The events will have official Race Marshals and Police present to manage traffic flow along the route.

Motorists should note that runners and walkers will be using the following sections of roadways for the running and walking events.

Running Event

Running participants will travel from Lindo’s Family Foods Ltd., Warwick store in an easterly direction along Middle Road to its junction with South Road, then travel in an easterly direction along South Road, Paget and Devonshire to its junction with Collectors Hill, Smith’s then travel in an easterly direction along Collectors Hill, then travel in an easterly direction along Verdmont Road to its junction with Middle Road, Smith’s then travel in a westerly direction along Middle Road, Smith’s then travel in a westerly direction along Middle Road, Devonshire to its junction with Chaingate Hill, then travel in a southerly direction along Chaingate Hill to its junction with Watlington Road East, then travel in a westerly direction along Watlington Road East and ending the race at the Lindo’s Market Ltd. Devonshire store.

Walking Event

Walking participants will travel from the Lindo’s Family Foods Ltd., Warwick store in an easterly direction along Middle Road to its junction with South Road, then travel in an easterly direction along South Road, Paget and Devonshire to its junction with Brighton Hill Road, then travel in a northerly direction along Brighton Hill Road to its junction with Watlington Road East, then travel in an easterly direction along Watlington Road East and ending the race at the Lindo’s Market Ltd. Devonshire store.

In addition, the Bermuda Police Service is hereby authorised to ‘Close off’ or ‘Open’ streets or portion of streets and restrict parking as the Commissioner of Police decides.

The Ministry would like to encourage the full cooperation of the motoring public and apologises for any inconvenience that may result.
