Augustus Funeral Home regrets to announce the passing of Claudette ‘Betty Jean’ Elizabeth Simons [nee Preece].
A celebration of life for Claudette ‘Betty Jean’ Elizabeth Simons [nee Preece], beloved daughter of the late Anabelle Preece and Kenneth Preece, loving mother of the late Mark Anthony Simons and Colin Andrew Simons, beloved Nana of Keisy Perez [granddaughter ] of Santo Domingo and wife of the late Victor Simons, in her 86th year of 13 Spanish Crescent Smiths, will be held Today 12th May at The New Testament Church of God, Dundonald Street Hamilton at 2:00 pm.
Interment will follow at Wesley Methodist Cemetery, Cemetery Road Pembroke.
A night of Tributes will be held Wednesday night 11th May 2022 at Goodwin C Smith Hall from 7:00 pm.
There will be no viewing.
Claudette also known as Betty Jean was a well known organist for the New Testament Church of God were she was a lifetime member. Claudette ‘Betty Jean” leaves to mourn her beloved sisters Alreta Martin and Shirley Dawn Richardson, Brother Hubert Preece nieces and nephews of the Preece and Burchall family cousins too numerous to mention and her loving godchildren who adored her. Claudette “Betty Jean” was predeceased by her brothers Willard Prrece, Michael Preece, Dennis Preece and sisters Joy Flood and June Glori King. The family requests that colors be worn. Please adhere to guidelines of wearing of masks and hand sanitizing.
