We regret to announce the passing of Ida Louise Gwendoline Young.
A Home Going service for Ida Louise Gwendoline Young, daughter of the late Claudine and Kenneth Young, loving mother to Hashim Shawki [Donna], Lionel Young [Roseanda], Kevin Young, Milton Stephens III [Kathy], Tahir Shawki, the late Ivan and Wesley Young, sister to Wendell [Jug] Young, and the late Willis Smith and Kenyatta Young, in her 84th year of 12 Ferguson Park, Unit 10, St. David’s will be held at St. Paul A.M.E. Church , Hamilton on Thursday, July 9, 2020 at 11:00 am.
Interment will follow the service at Pembroke Parish Cemetery.
Relatives and friends may pay their last respects at Augustus Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 8, 2020 from 7:30 pm – 9:00 pm also at St. Paul A.M.E. Church, Hamilton on Thursday, July 9, 2020 from 10:00am – 10:55 am.
Lovingly remembered by: 25 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-granddaughters; aunt: Dorcas Harvey; special nieces: Antoinette Cannonier and Angela Young; goddaughters: Glenna Andrews and Corshante Simmons; special friends: Muriel Nusum, Clarita Parker and the Ferguson Park residents; caregiver: Frederica Tucker; caseworker: Trevanda Todd-Christopher and other family and friends too numerous to mention.
She was predeceased by aunts Eldine Smith, Aquila Smith and Emily Simmons.
