[AMIS Memorial Chapel & Crematory]

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lady Eileen  Sharpe.  She lived a long, interesting and happy life and died just five months short of her 100th birthday on Saturday October 16th.    A graveside service  was held on Saturday October 23rd at St. Marys Church in Warwick with her Bermuda family  present.  Eileen was predeceased by her husband Sir John  Sharpe, better known as Jack, and together they were quite the team.  Eileen is survived by her son John, his wife Fong and their daughter Jessica; and  by her daughter Kathleen, her husband Richard and their daughters Hannah and Emma.  She is also survived by the rest of the Sharpe family including  Norah, Lynanne and her partner Peter,  Bruce and his wife Sue and her great nieces and nephews Matthew and Rebecca, Laura, Ally and Jevon and the boys. Eileen’s brother Fred predeceased her but her sister Nora is still going strong at age 98 in Vancouver, Canada.  Eileen also has many nieces and nephews in California, the children of her late brother Fred.

Eileen believed that education was the key to success and that every child deserved a fair chance.  In lieu of flowers, and in memory of Eileen, donations can be made to a Bursary at Warwick Academy in her name.  To donate, a transfer of funds may be made to Warwick Academy’s HSBC account 010260628005 or by credit card at givingwarwick.com and select Lady Sharpe Bursary in the areas of need.
