A Celebration of Life Service for Marilynn Olivia Simmons, in her 81st year, of 25 Mizzentop, Unit 41, Warwick WK 08, will be held at Mount Zion AME Church, Whale Bay, Southampton at 11am on Saturday, November 5, 2022. Interment will follow at St. Anne’s Church, Southampton.

Marilynn was the beloved wife of Dr. Richmond Delmont Simmons; daughter of the late Edward Henry Simons and Catherine Olivia Simons nee Cannionier.

She leaves to cherish her memory: her children Kim Simmons, Rhonda Simmons and Dr. Richmond Simmons; precious granddaughter Bailey Simmons; sisters Lynette Glover-Griffin [Leslie Griffin] and Judith Butterfield [Roger], and brother Edward Simons Jr. She is also lovingly survived by nieces Dr.  Robyn Glover [Michael Blackmond] and Sacha Butterfield; nephews Lamont Butterfield [Anwanae] and Raj Butterfield; great-nieces Kylie Butterfield and Mara Butterfield; great-nephew Jacob Butterfield; sisters-in-law Rochelle Perinchief and Anthea Simmons; brothers-in-law William Simmons, Ellsworth Simmons and John Perinchief [Jennifer]; godchildren  Gita Blakeney-Saltus, Libby Francis and  Folake Subair-Onwe; special cousin Sylvia Francis; dear friends Sir  John Swan, Davina Blakeney, Gary Phillips, the Foster Family and Charles Grant; other nieces, nephews and cousins too numerous to mention, and her special friends who shared her love of Bridge and Ikebana.

Marilynn was predeceased by her brother Charles Simons, niece Nakia Butterfield, sister-in-law Frances Bascome and brother-in-law Malcolm Simmons. Streaming on Facebook and YouTube via Mt.
