A service celebrating the life of Mrs. Mary Elizabeth DeFontes, devoted wife of the late Joseph John DeFontes, mother of Angie Curnow; predeceased by her children – Robert, Joseph and Raymond DeFontes and Joan Barnes; daughter of the late Manuel Souza and the late Mary Souza [nee Figuerido], in her 102nd year of 142 Middle Road, Devonshire, will be held 3pm Friday, July 19th 2019 at St. Patrick’s Roman Catholic Church, 23 South Shore Road, Smith’s Parish. Interment will follow at Holy Calvary R.C. cemetery, Robert’s Avenue, Devonshire.
There will be no viewing.
She leaves to cherish her memory grandchildren: David [Maria], Jo-Ann, Sharon [Troy] and Paul; great grandchildren: Nick [Klara], Andrew [Amanda], Naomi and Jonah; also her numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was predeceased by her siblings and her in-laws: Tony Souza [Helen], Virginia Souza, Rose Soares [Joe], Johnny Souza [Audrey], Grace Rego [Victor] and George “Deedee” Souza [Marion]; in-laws: Mary Soares [Tony], John DeFontes and Manuel DeFontes.
Colours may be worn.
