A service celebrating the life of Melvyn James Theodore Howes Sr. beloved husband of Laverne Howes, beloved son of the late son of Irene Marie Howes and the late Robert Howes of Huntsville, Alabama, will be held at Hamilton Seventh-day Adventist Church, King Street, Hamilton, on Monday, February 5th, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Seventh-day Adventist cemetery in St. George’s.

Visitation: Relatives and friends may pay their respects Sunday evening, February 4th from 7:30 – 9:00 at AMIS Memorial Chapel, Khyber Pass, Warwick. Monday, February 5th at the church from 1:00 – 1:50.

Beloved father to Teena Taylor [Craig], Theresa Trott-Hughes, Phaedra Howes-Smith [Trevor], Melvin ‘Bam’ Howes II [Ry-Lyn], and Jini Jones [Jeremy] and Micheal Burgess [stepson]; brother of Pastor Colin Dunbar [Mabel], Cynthia Williams [Pastor Llewellyn], Pennie Howes Evans-Grant [Perry] and Robert Howes-Evans [Damita]; his mother-in-law Joan Joell [Ewart]; sisters-in-law Cheryl & Gayle Burgess, Karen Okoro, Rev. Lucinda Burgess, Vanda Burgess, Donna Douglas, Pearl Trott and Cheryl Todd; brothers-in-law John Burgess, William Burgess, Jr. and Dave Blakeney, and other close relatives and friends.

Melvyn was predeceased by son Tracey Mello, siblings Raymond & Royston Howes, Marie Jackson, father-in-law William Burgess.
