Tributes Paid To Entrepreneur Kristi Grayston

Kristy Grayston Bermuda 2015Premier Michael Dunkley and the Progressive Labour Party both offered condolences following the passing of Kristi Grayston, who has been called a “pioneering entrepreneur” and “staunch advocate for the retail sector in Bermuda.”

Premier Michael Dunkley said, “I had the pleasure of knowing Kristi personally and was very sad to learn of her passing.

“Kristi was a pioneering entrepreneur, who approached every endeavour with passion, dedication and enthusiasm.

“She truly left her mark on our local business sector with her involvement in the Bermuda Chamber of Commerce, the Bermuda Economic Development Corporation and the many other business and community organisations that benefited from her leadership and participation.

“Kristi will truly be missed, and I wish to extend my sincerest and deepest condolences to her family and friends at this very difficult time,” added the Premier.

The PLP also offered their condolences, saying, “The Progressive Labour Party offers our sincere condolences to the family of the late Kristi Grayston.

“Ms. Grayston, the current President of the Chamber of Commerce, and a former board member of the Bermuda Economic Development Corporation, has been an staunch advocate for the retail sector in Bermuda.

“She will be missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with her husband and family at this most difficult time.”

Prior to being appointed as Chamber President in 2014, Ms Grayston served as Bermuda Chamber Vice President and Head of the Chamber’s Retail Division.

Ms. Grayston owned and manages the award winning local retail store Pulp & Circumstance, and in 2003, she was recognized by the Leading Women Entrepreneurs of the World and was the winner of that year’s “Take the Next Step” business development grant.
