Augustus Funeral Home regrets to announce the passing of: – Willard [Cab] E. Bassett, son of the late Willard & Gwendolyn Bassett, loving father of Andre Philpott; brother of Millard [Cab] Bassett [Valarie], nieces Gina Bassett Cook and Allison Bassett. great nephew and great niece, Lucas and Ylana Cook, in his 78th year, of 73 Sound View Road, Somerset. Relatives and friends may pay their last respects at a viewing / visitation at St James Church Hall, on Main Road, Somerset, Wednesday, 3rd August, 2022 from 7:00pm to 9:00pm.
Covid-19 precautions are to be observed and social distancing is encouraged.
Willard was also lovingly survived by his long term friend and mother of his son, Roseclair Philpott, and her daughter, Felicia Philpott, god-children O’Brian Roberts, Mark Anderson, George Cann Jr., and the late Neville Virgil, Jr., and the Morrisey family, Sally Perinchief and family and many other relatives and friends too numerous to mention. Willard was also predeceased by his dear sister Oriel Bassett and dear cousin Mavis Tatem.
A private graveside funeral will be conducted at a later date.
