Atlantic tropical storms have been named since 1953.

The following six lists are used in rotation every six years [so the 2012 list will not be used again until 2018].

The only time there is a change is if a storm is so deadly or costly that its name is retired and another name is selected to replace it.

2013
Andrea, Barry, Chantal, Dorian, Erin, Fernand, Gabrielle, Humberto, Ingrid, Jerry, Karen, Lorenzo, Melissa, Nestor, Olga, Pablo, Rebekah, Sebastien, Tanya, Van and Wendy.
