First of all I didn’t compare Police with corrections, you did. You are also misinformed, Correctional Officers face violent inmates on a daily basis. Most Inmate behavior doesn’t change and on some occasions it actually gets worst. Ask any correctional officer or Police officer. Correctional Officers must handle verbal and physical assaults daily. The job of a correctional officer is deadly indeed!

I disagree. Once inside, offenders tend to be on their best behavior because they want to get out. It’s the police officers that have to deal with things ‘in the heat of the moment.’ I’m not saying that correctional officers don’t have it hard as well, but it’s like comparing apples with oranges. I think I would take corrections over the police service anytime.

I am so glad to see thugs that have no respect for the law locked up. Spitting in the face of an officer is one of the worst offenses someone can do. It is completely unacceptable behavior that our society should shame!

Same Ol Same Ol cheap sentences for repeat violent offenders….yes they are both repeat offenders….check RG historic articles…

I’d be mad as hell If I was that officer that was spat at….
