Hats off to the police for what they do in the face of budget cuts and limited human resources. I believe they are doing the best they can with what they have.

What I want to to see is legislation that bans dark helmets visors and increase the fines for dark tint on car windows and strickly enforce both (more human resources required)

Add to that, increase the Bermuda Police Service budget to enable them to increase their numbers . Most road users know that it has turned into a free for all out there. Every one seems to run red lights and now a fourth lane has been created by us on bikes. I call the fourth lane suicide .The only reason more of us have not been killed is for the fact that the vehicle traveling in the oposite direction pulls over.Speed cameras are necessary and tie the non- payment to the passport and or travel arrangements.I offer no comment on the violence except that assist any way you can ,but for a cure no one seems to know what to do . The criminals sleep good while I can’t get no sleep.

I think we need to state the fact that we are in this crime mess because the PLP made the decision some years ago to adopt a Policy of Co-Existence with the Gangs…and this policy has now blown up in their faces. I think it’s a fair assessment and we need to remind people that this act was one of treachery. They created this mess by looking the other way in the hopes the gangs would simply keep to themselves and also self-police themselves. They looked the other way because too many of their supporters were making too much money in the drug trade. This policy of Co-Existence has led to Bermuda becoming a gangstaa paradise.

Do the police actually patrol our streets while we are asleep and working??….Or do they wait for a call like some Taxis do???

You can drive from Hamilton to Dockyard and I bet you will only pass one marked police vehicle.

My opinion…..I honestly believe we need more cops in Bermuda….Crime is out of control and all the police seem to say is “We can’t be everywhere”…..Fair enough but damn, If you guys can patrol stop signs, I’m sure you can roam the island looking for idle hands….Satan seems to know were they are, and is uing them to his advantage.

Some retards say we should play our part and it takes a community effort…but we can’t arrest anyone.
