Roadrage? Speed? Lack of courtesy? Inattention (cellphone)? A combination of all three?

Oh…I know… both cars just WENT out of control. No driver fault at all.

As far as newsworthy, to be honest, if we didn’t print everything people said isn’t newsworthy, we would barely have any content…and definitely couldn’t generate enough traffic to be sustainable.

Accidents, crime, environment, history, photo galleries, sports, entertainment etc – all generate complaints sent to us of not “being newsworthy.” About the only thing we don’t get complaints about is business and politics.

History is the worst, we just assume each history piece will end in en email complaint of it ‘not being news’…thing is, others really like them and ask us to do more. Its a catch-22 for us.

Despite our best efforts we can’t even hope to be able appeal to specific tastes, all we can do is try to offer a wide variety, and hope there is something amongst the content that appeals to some.

I must begin by saying that I find your website to be a great source of information. With this in mind, your team of reporters are to be commended. That said however, I have become increasingly disturbed by the amount of accidents reported and accompanying images. It is my humble opinion that the reporting of a vehicle accident at any given location, whereby the cars involved have received varying degrees of damage and/or those individuals involved have no serious threat to their life, does not warrant coverage. In my personal opinion, were my car to be riddled with damage in an accident the last thing I would want to see plastered over the internet for the viewing public is pictures of my vehicle (I do note that license plates are blurred out). Such photos would do nothing to help me feel better about the cost of my insurance premiums increasing, the costs of repair and so forth. Such incidents happen the world over all the time but to my knowlegde it is only in Bermuda that they are given such media attention. The point I am making is that such stories and photos have a minimal impact on the interests of the wider domain and as such are not newsworthy.

That aside, I genuinely appreciate the work Bernews are doing.

Bring back the horse and carriage. Bitch moan, poops, tranquillity, poops, tex whilst horsing, ……..

Mankind………………maybe the dogs and ferrel cats will remember where to piss….ooopsthey don’t do it in their own back yard.

Those Smart cars – now they are nice. Mini Coopers too! Chevy Spark – very cool.

CRV – NO!!!

They serve very well, educate, inform and relate dangerous habits, spots and information about the fore.

SUV’s and large cars have nothing to do with it. Look at the size of trucks/tractor trailers et al.

It’s all about courtesey, rules of the road.

Not being there I can assume that someone waved someone out ( an old Bermudian tradition) or something similar that road users take for granted.

Oh well…..looks like another one has been taken too the “Cleaners”.

Take to many things for granted and you end up just being another ‘wall-sitter’.
