We all know the neccessary steps that have to be taken to reduce crime but talk is cheap !!! Live in singapore or cuba where I’ve lived and you’ll understand.there are deterents that prevent and reduce crime. Let’s toughen up all around but be professional about it !!!

It’s comments like this…no. It’s more the mind frames like this that are part of the problem. We can’t seem to come together as a community. Too many people are quick to critique the police or even joke about it.

Bermuda as a whole is not equipped to deal this violence. The laws are not effective enough and everyone is solely relying on the Bermuda Police – the same Bermuda Police who the public are so quick to criticize rather than help out.

The Government either needs to step up surveillance (since the public refuse to help) or the citizens of Bermuda need to get involved.

I think it is because no matter what the police do there are citizens who have an inherent hatred for authority and law and criticize the police more than they criticize criminals. So the police must speed everywhere to annoy them so they can go to bernews and post nonsense?

Why do police cars etc still speed to the crime scene an hour after the crime when there is 20plus officers there already ???
