Firstly, it is great to see that he is employing students. It’s very hard for students to get through school. Not all of us are funded by our parents, we have to pay our own way through school. People complain about youth hanging out on the streets, gang violence etc. and when we are actually doing something to better our future you guys are still complaining. We need help too!

With that said, I applied to government job and they said they were only employing 100 students and it was already full. I tried to apply as soon as registration opened and it was already full so where did these jobs come from and why didn’t half of us students know about this? I know a lot of students who need jobs to make our way through school.

Just help us a little!

As a result, I met with my Acting Permanent Secretary and Chief Financial Officer and meticulously reviewed our budget to see where we could find some funding to support our students.

As admirable as helping students is, was this before or after your government had decided to cut funding to the police? And before or after it had decided to cut funding to education so that the Department would have to cut staff?

And was it before or after the decision was made to eliminate the golf course workers?

Better yet, was it before or after Paula agreed to take a pay cut?

Great idea, don’t get me wrong but what about creating jobs for those that have none…..could have given jobs to masons, carpenters, golf course workers even at $400+ …better than nothing and Government subsidies……..

I need a rum…..
