yea – fighting is not the word, a good bust arseing is going on. BDA/new OBAs won’t stand up for Pettingil and the old UBP/OBA is alive and well With Jeff Sousa, Pamplin, Gibbons, Richards, Moniz, Cole and others getting the prime safe seats and the nubies getting naught. Curious, please verify your source when you say that Bermuda did not have a surplus in 1998. Do you have a copy of the 1997/1998 Budget statement?

You say international business registrations are up. Really? What new companies have moved to Bermuda and how many jobs are they projected to create? How much revenue is projected to be earned from them? Many of these companies have no physical presence in Bermuda, they are registered here in name only. The new registrations would have to be up signicantly to even out the losses from the amount that have left in the past couple of years.

Tourism is up this year, you say? Well, wait until another cruuse ship pulls up. You will see the amount of tourist arrivals decrease signicantly as of 2012/ 2013.

I DO NOT believe the PLP has the country’s best interests at heart – no way. They have already shown that. When Paula Cox came out this year and said there would be NO cuts in ministerial wages – well, that told me all I needed to hear. And every day I hear about some other PLP minister getting a leg up from some other PLP minister. They are only out to make money off this country. I will never believe the PLP lies again.

You sound a bit bitter. I find your comments to be a bit rude, but i’m not surprised.

Just to correct the record, in 1998 Bermuda did NOT have a 250 Million Surplus, it had a Debt of 160 Million. Please don’t believe the OBA lies.

International Business registrations are up this year, not sure you heard that one.

Tourism is up this year over last year… oh yeah, you missed that too.

Why vote PLP you ask, because they have the country’s best interest at heart, that is why i will.

Jonathan, congratulations, you first point of discussion, as a candidate, should be to put a sidewalk from Tatem School to Whites Groccery. This is a very dangerous piece of road that does not allow to school children/walkers/runners/elderly going to the grocery store/todays large vehicles etc etc etc.

I believe this land has already been negotiated/purchased numerous years ago with no subsequent action taken!

Whoever addresses this point will most likely get my vote

My opinion, If you don’t live in a constituency, you shouldn’t run in the constituency… How can you have aany idea of the daily struggles within that constituency if you don’t live there… That’s BS!!!

Any candidate who runs in my constituency and doesn’t LIVE in my constituency will NEVER get my vote, nor the vote of alot of other ppl!!!

2011 (13 yrs later) – Bermuda OVER $1BILLION in debt… and have us all here struggling, with International business continuing to decline and tourism (cruise ships/hotel) in the SHITTER!!!
