People will continue to express thier beliefs through this medium. Just think of the family and their greif at this time-bickering over religion when a life has been lost just doesn’t make sense to me.

I agree that people need to be sensitive, but people started talking religion and going off-topic. Then someone suggested censorship-THAT is what I am disagreeing with. People always bring up God in these situations, and then get offended when they get called out on it-THAT is the point I was making. Not everyone is religious. Not everyone walks around with their nose stuck in a Bible 24/7. If we want to start censoring people who simply say things that some find offensive to their personal religious beliefs, then how about we censor ALL religious comments PERIOD so we don’t have this issue-how about THAT?

Not that this matters after this tragedy, but it’s not cablevision or BTC lines you need to worry about, it’s those high voltage lines right above the ladder which need to be carefully observed – especially while using a metal poled hedge trimmer while standing on a tall aluminum ladder. Sadly many don’t understand the destructive potential of these seemingly benign wires unless you’ve seen one short to another or to ground.

Many years ago the power company in my home town used to travel to the schools with a “traveling show” to demonstrate the dangers of electricity. Watching a piece of wood arc across from a medium voltage line was enough to scare the pants off of me. It hammered the point into my head about being wary around power lines.

Such a tragedy – however what was his boss thinking by allowing him to trim hedges with all those utilities so close? Cablevision is running through the hedge – it also runs on electricity. I feel really sorry for the Landscapers who allow their employers to provide them with unsafe working conditions. I bet had the boss been up there working – he would have contacted BELCO to rubber up the overhead line for safety – Govt needs to step in and ensure that all Landscaping Contractors are aware of the safety hazards when performing property maintenance including people working on the road side. It takes an unfortunate accident for people to open their EYES!!

Haven’t you ever heard of FREEDOM OF SPEECH? People like you annoy me more than people like Zumba annoy you. Zumba has a valid point and s/he is entitled to it. When things like this happen, the holy-rollers are so quick to spout off about God is watching over you/holding you/etc. etc. It’s a valid point to ask where was God when these things happen in the first place. It’s Zumba’s right to ask this, and since the holy-rollers have no LOGICAL explanation, they get defiant-typical.

By the way, there is a scripture-Isaiah 45:7-that goes like this:

I form the light, and create darkness: “I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things” (King James Bible)or otherwise said like this: “I make light and create darkness. I make blessings and create disasters. I, the LORD, do all these things” (GOD’S WORD Translation).

It doesn’t say the Devil does it, it says God does it. I have my own personal beliefs regarding it (not enough space here to get into it) but I haven’t met a Christian yet who has been able to give me an explanation for this scripture. Anyone, anyone?

I taught this young man. I can honeslty say that he loved nature and working with his hands. He was good natured and loved to laugh. He will be missed. May his family find comfort in all of the well wishes from everyone. He was a good young man and will be their guardian angel forever!

Sorry Zumba but if you ever studied (not just read) the bible, then you will clearly in numerous places that Satan (the Devil) is responsible for death and destruction. Satan is the ruler of this planet.

I taught this young man. I just spoke with him as recently as 3 weeks ago. I am deeply saddened by this tragic loss of life. He was a kind and gentle young man. I remember when he was 11 Years old and he told me he wanted to be a landscaper. He loved nature, the vegetation of our beautiful country and his desire was to do what he was doing from young. My sincerest and deepest condolences to the entire family. He will remain in the thoughts and hearts of all who knew him in his short journey of life.
