Wow! The racial undertones are heavy in here. You are being disingenuous if you claim that black males only started being stopped and checked more than whites since the shootings started. Black ppl in Bermuda have ALWAYS been pulled over, watched and checked disproportionately more often than whites. Common sense tells us that if area B is a grey snapper haunt and area A is a grouper haunt then The location that you drop your hook in will determine the kind of fish you catch. I said this to point out the fact that police officers tend to almost exclusively look for offenses in predominantly black neighborhoods. I don’t know if this is a conscious decision or not but I do know that it is the truth and was such long before these shootings began. And no, I’m not telling you hearsay, I’m telling you what I know and have experienced as a former law enforcement officer. And whether you want to believe it or not, there are far more caucasians involved in this drug game than our BPS has ever exposed by way of their selling, trafficking and using. So for the segment of our society that appears to be turning up their self righteous nose at those black males being flaunted in the media…your house is just as dirty as many others except for the most part, the general public hasn’t been allowed to come inside and see the dusty dirty truth!…and it ain’t just white bermudians I’m talking about either because there are some gully expats here covered in dirt as well!

When we focused our attention on IB and put Bermudians second, we wonder why we have lost generation?

They tell locals from college you don’t have experience, tell us we are not experienced to landscape, paint and construction at these Portuguese ran businesses. What they don’t mention is the cheap labor financial benefits. House 8 of them in a 2 bedroom paying wages that a Bermudian wouldn’t be Able to survive on.

Everyone knows this but its never mentioned. Smh Bernews, maybe you can dig into this and exose this underworld….

I mean its really sad that every person who is shot isn’t in a gang and doesn’t have any connection to a gang. I mean its so sad. Goodness, all these totally innocent people being shot for no reason other than it is a mistaken identity. So sad….. Why don;t they shoot gang members then pretty soon they’d all be dead and we could live in peace. No they choose to shoot innocent people with no gang connection at all – not even a bit. I mean the victims are apparently not even slightly connected to gangs. So sad. I wonder how the gunmen pick the completely innocent victims??
