The elite mile was won by the marathon winner. How elite is the mile any more? 5 runners in the men’s, 4 in the women’s. The weekend has become a chance for mid-level runners (world scale) to come in and win or place in a couple of events in order to get a free trip and collect some prize money. None of the races are graced by ‘elite’ event specific runners anymore. Let’s get this event back on track.

The school races are the best part of the evening! Way to go youth runners!

Why is there no picture of Chayce Smith the Bermudian who placed 3rd in the Elite ? we know he has no big insurer sponsoring him but come on, wouldnt giving him sone coverage potentially inspire youngsters to try distance running?

She would have been 2nd in Primary boys, 2nd in MS girls, 6th in MS Boys,3rd in HS girls, and 6th in open women – WOW!
