Video: BBA Presents Bikes To Students
Students from the Clearwater Middle School got a real treat this morning [Jan.13] as members of the Bermuda Bicycle Association and Winners Edge presented the Clearwater Middle School Bicycle Club a total of 10 bikes to begin the programme.
On hand with the students was Mrs. Levyette Robinson, Principal of Clearwater Middle School, Peter Dunne, President of the Bermuda Bicycle Association, Paulo Medeiros from Winners Edge and Karl Outerbridge a Bermuda Bicycle Association Board Member

The new cycling club at Clearwater Middle School is part of a Bermuda Bicycle Association initiative to spread the accessibility of the sport in Bermuda’s school.
This program began at CedarBridge Academy and then Berkeley Institute and there are now cycling clubs at all levels of educational institutions, including the pre-school facility at Happy Valley. Currently there are cycling activities at Victor Scott, BHS, Bermuda Institute, T.N. Tatem, Warwick Academy, Somersfield, CedarBridge and Berkeley.
The equipment for the Clearwater program is funded mainly through a grant from the Union Cycliste International, the world governing body for cycling and supported by local retailer Winners Edge. Additional support for helmets is coming from the CMS PTA.
Well done B.B.A.and Winners Edge for providing this alternative to Clearwater Middle School. Not only will this be a form of exercise for the school students but also this will give oppurtunity to be less tempted to the negative influences in our school system.
