There is something more interesting happening here than the plot of the film as you describe it; the LIE in the speech before the UN – for example, of the American corporation developing the resources of other nations to help improve life for their people, which the American corporations NEVER did. America’s corporations ROBBED other nations of their natural resources, and whatever payments went to those countries never got to the people. The money paid for their resources generally went to the family of a dictator, and the people continued to live in poverty – enslaved by a foreign company that robbed their nation of their own natural resources.. and the image of Grant is of a RICH MAN.. taking whatever he wants.. the entitlement of the rich – and if that isn’t enough to make you want to throw up.
Different times – for sure!!
