What I find so ironic is that every single one of the convicted killers, or accused killers has a mother / sister / brother / godma / friend saying “Not my son, Not my friend, You don’t know him”. And the victims are revered high and low for the “goodness” within them. While I respect these guys are family to somebody, look through it. The guys that were murdered for the most part were not angels. They were into some BAD shi@$T. Destructive of the communities that rally and revere their memories. The guys that pull the triggers are too no less than monsters…often times pulling a trigger on a guy that is a distant distant cousin, a man who is a father, a brother a friend to so many. See it for what it is. Monsters exists amongst us and instead of heaping praise on these monsters they need to be ostractized as the monsters they are. With the legacy that that has been established by the Lightbourne brothers, it would be no wonder that this young Lightbourne allegedly followed that legacy…he didn’t have a choice…he was predisposed…thats not to say he is guilty…a jury of his peers will decide…but the charges laid before him are not surprising to anybody given his legacy…thats all. I really dont care whether he is guilty or not. But I do care that we get the monsters off the street. And their instruments of destruction out of the community.

Im from NYC and visit Bermuda once a year for the last 27 years for 2 weeks. I stay at an efficiency apartment so I’m around mostly Bermudians and not tourists. Considering how small Bermuda is Im surprised that any murder or crime isnt immediately nipped in the bud. It seems so weird, coming from a big city that any crime could be committed just because everyone knows everyone and how can anyone hide or escape? I wonder about the bad sections of town. These areas are so small and contained why cant these areas just be disbanded? It seems so manageable when looking at it through the eyes of my city where there is realitively little crime compared to the huge area and tremendous population. I ve always been curious about what Bermudians think about this. Thanks
