The point of making them illegal is that if someone is seen by police wering one after the ban then they can legally stop them and at the least make some enquiries that may lea to thek saving of someones life. The offender will have to give acct for himself and the visor can be confiscated.

Good point! I just jumped in because I saw the visor law comments which I strongly believe would help in cases of those mugged by guys on motor bikes. As for the topic of shootings a visor law won’t do much for this since it is more of a planned assault on certain individuals. The only thing that will help this is 24 hour police presence in the high risk areas though this again is only one piece to a puzzle.

Security wouldn’t matter if people were still allowed to walk in a bank with helmets on. If helmets were still allowed what would security be able to do if three crooks walked in a bank at separate times with helmets on to not look obvious. I’m sure one would be able to cover the security guards especially with a gun. The others would be able to get as much on hand cash as possible. No one would be able to identify any of them. At present if even one person forgets to take their helmet off security can & do come out quickly & ask them to remove it.

You can easily conceal a gun then pull it out quickly & use it. Its more challenging to conceal a visor & then pull it out pop it on then try to catch up with your target. Deterrents are not perfect but put enough in the way & criminals slip up.

Stick a $50000 or prison time the law & it will deter these guys or put them where they belong. Thats if BPS enforce the law just as much as they walk around doing jack all. People still drive around with no seat belts, going pass the speed limit, reckless driving, talking on mobiles, overtaking on blind corners etc. ect. This is not because people won’t adhere to the law its because it isn’t enforced. So, craig says we need to pay the police more well to hell with what craig says because the police don’t do what they’re paid for already.

There should be a no nonsense approach to guns.
Anyone found with a fire arm in their possession, found during a search,automatic minimum 10 year sentence. No questions asked.
Anyone caught committing a crime with a gun,10 years added on top of the sentence for the crime.
This will make people think twice, before getting involved with fire arms.

ya banning visors wont solve the whole problem but it will show and give the lil island some security on there surroundings if banned visors was forced and ppl where given a month or 2 to sort there self out after the deadline you do what you think is right simple as that.. so after the deadline if i or anyone on the island drives,walks, or sees a dark visor in the area they will be aware of anything that might b happening its your choice if you want to sit around and see if something will happen or it gives you the chance from being in the wrong place at the wrong time after the LAW is in place the police will have EVERY RIGHT to stop n search someone who is hiding their identity so if the police and gov. was really serious and tryna get a handle on this a 7 year old could see that putn this LAW in place will help and benefit future works to this big long term problem in this lil island

Hey clown as someone who wears glasses and has a tinted bike visor. Visor costs $40, prescription sun glasses between $300 to $500. Which would you buy if you wore glasses and rode?
