Whites have voted “enblock” for the UBP/OBA for well over 36 years. There has never been a “shift” in their voting patterns. The ‘Black population’ have ‘shifted’ and voted in both directions. Movement therefore has to come from the white voters. So why ask Black population to make the change? Like it or not….Bermuda does vote along racial lines……however, blacks have been the ones to shift the voting…….whites have never shifted……… yes this is an important variable to the voting patterns in Bermuda. Blacks also vote based upon the “current issues” that they deem of great significant. This can not be for whites, as their voting pattern remains the same, regardless of the issues. So like it or not….past “election statistical data” provides clear evidence of these facts. So let debate the real facts…..and so the race card applies more to the “white populations, than it does the black population.

this government rightly deserves to lose.
However the cynical among us know that when it comes to the ballot box
the PLP will be supported by the diehards and the care-less.
The world is on fire. Brave yet oppressed and poor people are fighting corrupt
Governments to achieve a life worth living.
We enjoy a safer and far richer life compared with them but make no mistake about it,
anybody who can honestly stand up and shout “I’ll have 5 more years of that” will most certainly be getting it.
The vote is by secret ballot, nobody can ever know how you voted but you.
Make the sensible choice lest you end up in your own “Arab Spring” 5 years from now.

Also, the 2012 election will be in the midst of unemployement. Comparing “things” to last year is almost futile because “things” this year are completely different. Bottom Line: No one knows. And this makes PLP very nervous. And OBA optimistic. Only time will tell.
