Its sad, whites, wheels ,all the exempt companies, all the local layoffs, and wait till next year with the Goverments “dont want cruise ships here” policy kicks in and we end up with 30% less retail in town because of the massive reduction in spending, its past the begining of the end for Bermuda

Its ashamed how they treated their staff like they don’T have food to eat and families to support. And what they have given to them on a gold platter. Now its another 85 people out of a job because of all that poor manangement of all 3 stores. Those store management never realized they are employees like the staff they did not own the busines so when they are not managers like they should they will be jobless too. And through all those months of line staff lay-off they and keep all managers on full 45 hour pay weeks and they knew they were in a financial disaster. Its sad.

I went to the Southside store on the way home and quickly realized that there was not a sale there. I saw secret deordorant for more then $8.00. This same item I bought only 2 weeks ago for $4.58. These people don’t realize that stealing has consequences. (liquidation) Somebody tell me why was a Viva paper towel single roll was priced at $4.00? This was less then $2.00 before.

This is disgraceful. Don’t be fool people. STAY AWAY

So you would like the cashiers to work when they have already been made redundant imagine how they are feeling. I have been made redundant its not a nice, you feel upset, demoralized and worried and then on top of that you have to serve the very customers that did not support you when you needed it!!! Really some people have no shame and all in the name of 25% off….. disgusting.

The sad thing about this is not only people are losing jobs but Market Place who are already jacking up there prices every week and Lindos are smiling from ear to ear its gonna be bad for the consumer because once they become monopoly’s we want have no other choice they will charge what ever they want and we will get burned every week when we go grocery shopping. Times are changing and its getting worse for us…

IM A STAFF MEMBER OF WHITES SOUTHSIDE STORE. UNDER THE LIQUIDATORS OF WHITES IN WARWICK THEY HAVE 25%OFF. WELL THIS MONEY THEY TAKE IN GOES TO PAY THE STAFF AND LOTS OF OTHER CREDITORS THAT ARE OWED THIS MONEY.
WELL TODAY WE AT SOUTHSIDE WERE TOLD BY THE OWNERS TO LET EVERYTHING GO 40% OFF.
THIS IS VERY VERY WRONG. THEY ARE LIQUIDATING THEMSELFS AND THERE WILL BE NOTHING LEFT WHEN THE LIQUIDATORS COME IN 2 WEEKS TO SHUT US DOWN.
NO PRDUCT LEFT FOR THEM TO SELL OFF AND THE OWNERS WILL TAKE ALL THE MONEY FOR THENSELFS, NOTHING TO HELP PAY US AND THEIR OTHER OBLIGATIONS WHO ARE OWED MONEY.
EVEN IF THE OWNERS TOOK THIS MONEY AND PAID MY MEDICAL INSURANCE AND ALL THE OTHER STAFFS INSURANCE. WE HAVE BEEN HAVING PAYMENTS EVERY WEEK TAKEN OUT OF OUR PAY CHECKS FOR OUR INSURANCE AND OUR GOV.PENSION AND THEY HAVE NOT BEEN SENDING IT IN AND NOW NO INSURANCE. IS THIS FAIR. NO ITS NOT. AND NOW YOUR GOING TO TAKE ALL THIS BEFORE THE LIQUIDATORS COME.COME ON DO YOU HAVE NO SHAME WHAT YOU ARE DOING.
YOU HAVE NOT EVER MISSED TAKING THESE PAYMENTS FROM MY CHECKS EVERY WEEK BUT HOW MANY TIMES HAVE WE BEEN CUT OFF FROM OUR MEDICAL INSURANCE,MONTHS AND MONTHS AND MONTHS, AND MONTHS. SHOW SOME CLASS AND START THINKING ABOUT THE PEOPLE WHO HAVE BEEN WORKING FOR YOU AND MAYBE YOU WILL SLEEP A LITTLE BETTER AT NIGHT.

bye bye whites….another one bites the dust. The people that bring foreign dollars here are being chased away and business will continue to suffer, people will continue to loose their jobs, the government will continue to borrow. Bermudians just don’t realize that our entire economic system was built around service, no matter your occupation. soon we’ll be complaining about monopolies and price fixing again, wondering why they can’t get a job. We’re heading backwards, only difference is this generation of people that don’t know tough times will react negative to their state of being.

It was insane up there!! Not worth waiting for 25%!! I drove past but didnt go in, saw a reporter taking pics of parking lots which were all full. St. Anthonys field was full, their parking lot was full, across the street from the store was full……people were actually walking from wherever they parked their cars……..not worth it……nothing in store really…..
