I’m not going to argue with you but comparing prescription drug addicts who take LARGE amounts of drugs and also MIXING large amounts of drugs and using that as your example is asinine. Your Michael Jackson example was by far the worst one though. What he took was not legal and is used in hospitals only for surgeries, which is again useful for people needing surgery.

Also you could die a very painful death with convulsions by taking a whole bottle of tylenol. I don’t use them, I don’t do drugs, I have a headache I drink water or eat.

Also what’s this new one on tv? Paxil? Lawyers are appealing to people who have taken the drug if they have experienced harmful side effects. I’m sure it worked great watever it was for but I bet the people who took It didn’t want to replace their illness with intestinal and cerebral hemeridging. If its made by man, it will kill you.

You are such a close-minded person that you totally missed my point. There are drugs out there that one can get legally that are just as bad or worse than marijuana. These prescription drugs are stolen by addicts and sold on the streets all the time in the U.S. There was a case recently where a man went into a pharmacy, shot the pharmacist and all the customers inside, and stole prescription narcotics. People actually kill for prescription drugs the same way they do for street drugs. So do we ban prescription narcotics? That will NEVER happen because it’s a money maker for the pharmaceutical industry and pays huge dividends to Governments through taxes.

These drugs have been proven to be addictive. They can destroy lives just as easily as street drugs. People need to go to rehab to get off them just like they do with street drugs. Alcohol kills more people than drugs, but is perfectly legal. Cigarettes kill even more people still. If you smoked a cigarette and a week later had COPD or cancer, it would be banned. However, as it takes years to kill a person, does that make it o.k.? It’s not like we don’t know what cigarettes do to people, including affecting (through second-hand smoke) innocent people who choose not to smoke; yet we still sell them and Governments eagerly reap the benefit of those sales through taxes. It amazes me that pharmacies-a place that is supposed to promote the health and well-being of society sell cigarettes knowing what they do to people, just to make money.

The things we do as a society are so hypocritical it boggles the mind. If TPTB could find a way to track marijuana sellers and tax them like they do alcohol, cigarettes and prescription drugs they would. However, they know it’s impossible to do that so they make growing it illegal. It’s crazy how many things are motivated by money, and how much propaganda is being fed to us-it would make North Korea proud. People like you fall hard for that propaganda, instead of doing your own research-that makes you a sucker. Marijuana is a plant and again, it has been PROVEN to have health benefits. You need to OPEN YOUR MIND and reflect upon that.

What’s the main goal for smoking marijuana? To get high, is it not? Yes it may not be as bad in comparison to other things but it still alters your mind and thus classified a drug. If it was harmless and did nothing to you people wouldn’t smoke it. You are also constantly inhaling smoke into your body, that’s not good either. I mean the argument can go both ways. I’m just saying.

Those people you named were addicts and took too much. I also do not know ONE person who smokes weed and does not drink alcohol as well. Not one. So would you rather have one instead of the other? Both illegal or both legal? I just don’t get that argument.

Fortunately not evenyone is born that way! Some people drink, some smoke weed, some pop pills which will all over time kill brain cells. Problem is that those that are addicted can’t tell and dont sense the changes that others see as their brain cells diminish.
