(Cannabis: a history by Martin Booth) is a good read. Good bit of history in it, also about cannabis culture how it’s been used throught history… I’m talking b.c. Stuff, and talks about the propaganda machine and contributions for and against herb.. Talks about Harry Anslinger and others..
Another good read is (Understanding marijuana by Mitchell… Some history but mostly the scientific side..

Marijuana is safer.. Talks about the plant how it affect users compared to alcohol and is really good for ppl who don’t kno much about it and also for advocacy.. Explaining myths about it n other things..

So those are three good ones.. So you get your history you get the science and your social.. I think those 3 would be good to help build a good foundation. Then you can have a better understanding of the plant and also how it effects society from the user abuser how it is politisised.. Good bad and d ugly as they say..

Remember that most ppl just think its bad and that’s all they need to kno so you can’t get mad at them….. You’re preaching to the converted as I too don’t partake here. Also I had a similar experience as the two robbed on Hermitage Road many years ago though mine was on 42nd. In fact many of my friends who indulge have been in similar situations in Bermuda. Some will blame the cannabis for this but even if it wasn’t weed but a criminal offense to buy coffee someone devious would take advantage of it. In any place where drug laws are more liberal there is less drug crime. That is except for mexico but thats because they were a little to late in changing their policies.

Also Mexico’s gang problem revolves around cocaine not weed & its not only Mexico’s fault for this since former CIA director George H. W. Bush & the reagan administration played a big hand in it. Pablo Escobar & other cartel leaders in central & south america names are synonymous with cocaine.

I would like to see a you tube video where Malcolm talks about reefer in general as being used to pacify. I know he has many videos where he says, “They send drugs in Harlem down here to pacify us.” This is not a direct reference to weed but to many drugs that were dealt in Harlem at that time.

Besides Malcolm X was not the sharpest knife in the draw of human rights activist because if he was he would have known that he was being used by the nation of islam to recruit more followers. He didn’t come to this realization till being enlightened by Gamal Abdel Nasser, Ahmed Ben Bella & Kwame Nkrumah & then he was assassinated because of his new found enlightenment. Islam’s whole purpose is to pacify hence the greeting As-Salāmu `Alaykum so it can be considered a drug also. As Karl Marx said, “Religion is the opium of the people”

You mention maturity but maturity means educating yourself on the difference between natural & synthetic drugs. Malcolm used nutmeg a natural drug that is ten times stronger than cannabis to get over his cocaine addiction. Many Islamic followers consider weed haraam but feel that tobacco is halal which is ridiculous. This is especially ignorant when considering that in many islamic countries strains of cannabis have been cultivated for years. Most of the Dutch coffee shops best selling strains originally were came from middle eastern nations & all except one of their imported hashes comes from places where Islam is the main religion. It’s been a part of the Islamic culture for hundreds of years.

ok we all know the anti cannabis side …but how many know about the pro cannibus side is …obviously those that are anti are only half educated .

BUT, it create more social issues than both of these two combined… go to Mexico, see how weed have changed peoples way of life for ever!

Now let look at our infamous neighborhood’s
Court st, St Monica rd, Parkside area, and the list goes on and on.. is it the lesser of those 2 evils or Weed??? Take weed out of these places and there will be change for life!!

And what really chaps my ass is when people call it dope. The same people who go out and love to drink for the drunkenness of it; take a look in the mirror the next time you are drunk and wake up with a hangover, then tell me who looks like they are on dope and look dopey!

Lastly I’ll put to rest that silly argument about it being grown close to our schools and children.

ADD and ADHD are not problems, they are side effects of a child with limitless potential being stuck in a boring, mind numbing environment. Basically feed your child this to comotose him in class so others can learn and when he’s older we’ll just stick him in a jail cell along with the rest of the unskilled people we don’t want in our society. I’m not saying give your child marijuana to unlock the secrets of his mind. I’m saying people would rather bash marijuana based on what they have been told to believe yet ram ritalin down their childs throat because the FDA approves it and says they’ll learn better. It is you who is limiting your childs growth, simply because they don’t learn the same way. These are our athletes, inventors, artist, creators, but we should just keep things how they are because our education system works great huh?

This whole world is f@cked and marijuana is the least of its problems.
