The town is ‘St George ‘ No ‘s’
But does that apply to the parish as well ? Maps do not make it clear it seems . Is it the parish of St George or St George’s Parish ?

As for the ignorance over Somerset and Sandy’s .. just mind boggling.

But as was pointed out earlier unless these errors or misunderstandings are corrected (and as far as I’m concerned it goes for grammar as well) then the wrong information eventually becomes accepted as fact. And there’s already way too much stupid out there.

Sandys is the parish, Somerset is the town. In the east, St George’s is the parish and its also the name of the town. So Cup Match is town against town, not parish against parish.

Thank you so much for that, please excuse my naivete, but where is the tip of Dockyard and since it is not a parish shouldn’t Dockyard be included in SandysParish?..anyone that can assist, thank you..I’m just wondering whether all portions of Bermuda land are divided up into Parishes inclusively..otherwise Dockyard stands alone? For Postalreasons I am inquiring..

Sandy’s begins where Pompano Is. Thats right where Port Royal Golf Course ends and meets up with the old Eve’s Cycle place on Middle Road. And Sandy’s Parish ends right at the tip of Dockyard.

On a little island 21sqr miles(lets not argue about the size now) There is this big debate about areas and territories! At the end of the day bermuda is just a little speck. oh my God,, What am I reading,, Somerset is an island,, lol, Its the mass of land from Somerset Bridge to Watford Bridge.. Sandys Parish is made up of a number of islands.. It ecompasses the remainder of the main land up to Somerset Bridge, Somerset Island, Watford Island, Ireland Island South and Ireland Island North.. Ever notice those bridges on the way Dockyard?? lol

It is both in the parish of Sandys in the Somerset area. Somerset begins going west from Somerset Bridge
and ends before going over Watford Bridge. Somerset road is the main road between these two points.

Somerset is not a parish. Its an area within Sandys Parish. Sandys Parish begins close to the road leading to Pompano and encompasses everywhere up to and including Dockyard.

Sandys is the name. Somerset is too widley used. It was a villiage and still is.
Now for the occupants….thats another story.
