@ cool... People like you make me laugh. I bet when a fire breaks out in town and consumes many of the old buildings the first thing you and others would say is "why didnt government update the fire code?". When it comes to fire and safety IMO we should spend time on such issues. Then we wonder why we are so reactive as opposed to a preventative

Is it really necessary to spend that much time on fire Safety? Bermuda probably has the least fires in the world if it wasn't for 911 the fire department wouldn't be busy at all! we are pretty good with fires..a few fires were electrical and that is something that maybe we could look at but no much we can do about...the only fire we NEED to deal with is gunfire!

A fire safety bill? Let me guess... There would be no more smoking in all private structural buildings and from the passing of the bill, cabinets in the kitchen and bathrooms and all other furniture including curtains, blinds, carpet and flooring will be made of metal. All new home owners will have to go through an evacuation procedure of their new nonflammable home with the entire fire dept. looking on ready to hand over an evacuation certificate as approval of occupancy.... There's not enough for the fire dept. to do, I guess...
