What can I say, after reading all of the comments? Sharron, Leslie and family you have my deepest sympathies. I don’t know where our little Island is going but it’s about time that the leaders of the country put their heads together and get it together. I’m going to speak my mind and tell it like it is, maybe as always it takes for a politicians family member to get shot up before it hits home since BERMUDA is not home enough for them. I bet you the whole Island would go on lock down.

UNFORTUNATELY, THESE SAME PLACES WHERE REGGAE AND RAP MUSIC WHERE HEARD AND PEOPLE WHERE STUMBLING OUT LAUGHING AND JOKING HAVE NOW TURNED INTO SHOOTING SCENES. all you have to do is offend someone or some group in any way.
Bermudians seem to be bent on taking revenge for just about anything nowdays and to add to this quite a few young people think it’s cool to kill someone.
When a young person can go out and kill someone for very little reason
than he most likely had no spritual upbringing on the value of life- infact in most cases that person has no value for his/her own life.
The part that effects most Bermudians is the bad reputation were getting
as a murder state.

I think the public needs to look at the patterns of who got shot. Its our duty to know because it effects us if we socialize in a location where the rivals may party a few days, weeks, months later. You may not care but if these unstable hoodlums are after someone, they are not going to ask you to excuse your black or white ass so they can kill.
Halloween is round the corner. There are so many angry, hurting bitter, revengeful youth and Adults who have lost family and friends. People, we need to pay serious attention because these youth have taken the law into their hands because they are in despair. Their lives have been destroyed because they are void of someone.
Government needs to introduce suggestion inputs from anyone to help, and allow them to drop it in the postal pillar boxes, library etc. Come on people, sure you have solutions

By the sounds of the story it doesn’t sound like body armour would have helped much. Now please look at the flip side, in the states there was an incident where I believe it was 2 men suited in full body armour took hostages in a bank, you can read the story and see how long it took the police to take them down and how many injuries they caused. I think there was even a movie about it. No tell me who can afford to be suited up in full body armour? Someone with a government budget or someone who sells drugs. Do we really need a repest of that here before we figure out its a bad idea?
