yes a very good thankyou to the BFS, but i would also add no one says thank you to the men and women in blue, their lives and families are at risk daily yet people hate them because they give them tickets or arrest them. Give thanks to All emergency servies.

You sound like an idiot, the point is they put their lives at risk every time they go to work and every time they respond, something I doubt that you ever do. Their training is risky, yes they get paid, but not enough for what they do, and yes I know because I was a former Fire Fighter / EMT.
And by the way, lots of people do say thank you to the trash collectors and BELCO workers and many more other people that help them in their everyday lives, is that what you do????

@ Webster…You sound like a real special case! What a sour puss attitude- wow really can’t believe you actually took the time out to type such a negative comment. Are you disgruntled because you wanted to be a firefighter as a boy, but were unable to pass the rigorous fitness test to become one? Yes it’s a job but I’m sure one that is unappreciated until something happens and we really need them. Hope you never find yourself sprawled out on the road somewhere only to have the first people on the scene be the firefighters who have to save your sorry butt!!! Thanks BFS for a job well done!!!

Very insensitive comment. They put their lives at risk when they go out to fires. Hopefully you never have to need them to do “their job”.

Well, that is their job and get paid for to show up at accidents or fires !!!!!!!!!!!!! when was the last time someone said thank you for picking our trash ? it is a job,or when Belco fixes our outages… it is their job to do so…..so to say thanks… all I can say is that is what they are being paid for….
