It’s almost 2013 and you can’t even tell me how many people were born and/or died in Bermuda in 2011??? We have one hospital, one company that does home births and one registration department. How hard can this be? You should be able to tell me by the end of January how many people were born and/or died the prior year as the hospital submits these records to government weekly.

Perhaps if they had strong leaders who worked with them and to their strengths instead of interfered then they could get the job done more efficiently and effectively.

This report includes some 2011, some to 2010, some rebased, some using average years…average of 5 years or current years?? It is not a clear an concise document…You know who has being playing with the departments work.

How come it takes this department almost 2 years to compile & publish figures for an insignificant little dot in the ocean yet a huge nation like the US can get highly fluid numbers like employment stats out in 30 days?

Me thinks the Dep of Statistics is ripe for pruning when the chop comes, as it must, to the civil service. Get thee dead wood out of there.
