Egar just keep your head in the sand but don’t complain as your party continues to destroy the islands economy and any harmony that is left. I would only gain respect for this joke of a government if they were to produce an independent audit from 1998 to present with no information wit held every blind trust included and every projects records open for all to see. But you know they will not do this as nothing has been misappropriated right? Of course if that were the case then the audit would not be a problem as there nothing to find. Guess what ace boy if hopefully very soon there is a change that missing 800 million unaccounted greenbacks will appear magically as I know for a fact that an audit will be forthcoming, I would be very concerned if I was in the PLP and had knowledge or benefits from the thievery that has gone on! Why is it so difficult for the faithful such as yourself to see that you have been conned face it and change your mindset and if the OBA fail to improve things vote back in your dependable PLP.

Another PLP event held on Government property. Did they pay for the use of the facility?

The PLP said they did not want political use of Government property when the OBA paid to display ads in the bus stops. How is this different?

Actually, I have not dared to try and offer up any payment for the water as I think the other thirty nine or so unit owners would be very upset with me – they all seem to think it is OK and I still have to live there. And if a reputable former trade unionist like Mr. Burgess thinks it is OK too, then it must be.

PLP supporters please please please think long and hard before you vote. Remember nobody is in the booth other than you and you have nobody to answer to but yourself. If you in your heart honestly believe that tone PLP will make Bermuda better vote for them. But before you do ask yourself the real question are you happy with the economy, education results, social problems, race relations and the job market. The only thing the average man could say has gotten better recently is rents are lower and that is a direct result of supply/demand and we all know that is a result of poor policies of this government. Do not follow like lambs to the slaughter the PLP who will not improve your life as their interest is not in a successful Bermuda. Try to see this as a golden opportunity to change the PLP to in the future be a serious party that means business and not lies and divisiveness. You have five potential years of the OBA if you vote for them and if they are not up to the task vote them out but you cannot return to power after all of this the PLP it is a disservice to your fellow Bermudian both black and white. I will remind all of you of this there is nothing more nervous than money and the real money in Bermuda will not invest without confidence in the government.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank Mr. Derek Burgess my MP for piping the free Goverment water all the way from wherever (the quarry I believe) to the Winton Hill condos where I live. The tanks top up automatically now and we never have to buy water, all forty or so units. Much appreciated Sir and Thank You So Much for taking care of your constituents.

I don’t know why the PLP are so desperate to cling onto power. If you vote OBA, you know that if they don’t do a good job they will be out in 5 years and the PLP will be back in. PLP voters you have nothing to lose. The OBA have to work like crazy for us or they will be gone, whereas the PLP feel they have the vote and don’t have to do much to stay in power (lazy and complacent). If you hate some of the OBA folks, then vote them in, MAKE THEM WORK FOR YOU! They know if they don’t , they will be done. I’ll be the first one giving the OBA a hard time if they don’t deliver.

Tracy, maybe you should check your facts… UBP did borrow money from the pension fund for the 1st stage of the national stadium… But, that money was paid back with interest within a couple of years. This is what happens when you know how to manage money, and have a business mind…. Government is a business and WE are the shareholders… We should be getting return on our investment NOT owing the big bucks with nothing to show for it…

Did you get an answer when you asked the PLP where the “unaccounted for” hundreds of millions of dollars are? Since the PLP can’t find it and had the Auditor General arrested when he asked then maybe the OBA can find it and get it back. With those hundreds of millions of dollars they can create many jobs.

Tracy – I await YOUR response or a reesponse from anyone within the PLP. Who knows- maybe if I get a good answer – I might vote PLP again!
