So sad to see the demise of Coral Beach, Horizons & don’t forget Waterloo. In Bermudas heyday they attracted the cream of the Islands tourism crop. One couple staying in these places contributed more than 20 cruise ship passengers. They took the trouble to get to know the staff by name & the mostly Bermudian staff gave great service.

But sadly that was another era, an era when service was given with a smile & a service job was an honourable job. We chased those wealthy visitors away with out attitudes. Just like IB they don’t need us, we need them. They won’t be back anytime soon. Too many enclaves for the wealthy have sprung up giving the service Bermuda used to be known for.
