There is no statute of limitations on sexual offenses against children. I hope that more children/adults would come forward to say what has happened to them in the past. I think it is brave of the young lady to come forward. I hope that her example encourages others.

Perhaps the young lady is now old enough to make the complaint for herself. Sometimes parents don’t listen to their children, or they do not create a climate where the child feels comfortable to talk especially about things that are embarrassing. Worse, sometimes the child is made to feel like she is the one at fault.
We don’t know why this case is coming up now. For all we know, she blocked it out. We could speculate endlessly. I plan to wait and see what is reported, and hope that justice is fully served.

I’m not buying into your theory….maybe 2 or 3 years later, which would have made her 13yrs old, but 6yrs later? This sounds like a case of she said and he said, there is more to this.
