So you are saying when (or if) they are free from salmonella, we should eat them? I think I will refrain from beef from now on. If they did not know these cows were sick when they bought them in, then how are we to know that when they are “free” from illness, they did not miss something there also. Because you are deemed free from an illness, do not mean there is any residue.

For all you know more than a cow farmer people that are commenting and sounding like a bunch of negative people, these cows were imported a few weeks ago and are still young. They are not in direct contact with any other cows on that farm . They will be introduced into the herd when they have been deemed to be free of any illness should there be any, in this case there has been salmonella ,and after they have settled in. Next time read and try to understand what you are reading, instead of knowing everything about cows and none of you have ever been around a cow, understand what a dairy is about, or have even cared for a cow.
