@Opressed, I am going to assume that your last post was an attempt at ‘humour’. As a Bermudian male I find it decisively unfunny and insulting. What makes matters worse is that it is completely untrue. Even on an exaggerated view of the Bermudian condition your comments would be way off base. The majority of Bermudian males are not in jail bound irresponsible fathers with meaningless tattoos. Let’s stop with this nonsense. If you want to respond intelligently and enter into a true debate about this, use your real name. Otherwise, give some thought next time before you comment on my Bermudian brothers.

A wider point: I do not agree with the concept of “beauty pageants”. That goes for males and females. It perpetuates the belief that beauty is an objective quality and that it is right for it to be judged by others. It also seems to confuse the concepts of beauty and sexual attractiveness, often times appearing to make them interchangeable. They are clearly not and conflating them has negative effects on our society.
