Wa? After you all destroyed our environment, benefited and developed your country and left us worse when you left? hell no times ten. We will charge Bermuda for this damage to the environment that they did in the past, we still have the scars to show. You can`t even handle your own affairs and want to deal with ours?
What we should do is have some unify approach towards Britain, now that could work, separate stated with different government but unity on certain expects like the OECS.

Bermudians don`t seems have a mind of their own, they are blinded by the British, well if that works for you continue. Your Parliament remains full of brits on their direct decedents. Bob Morley say ‘free yourselves from mental slavery, non but ourselves can free our mind”
We in the TCI will determine our own destiny and learn from our mistakes while you continue to kiss up to brits. Hope you learn in the future they you and only you know whats best for your country.

Forget Canada..Bermuda should become TCI’s ‘masters’…we did after all found the place in the 17th century, but was taken away from us first by the French and secondly the Crown.

Can they not get the same from the UK once they pay into the system?

Just like how Bermudian’s can be accused of ‘taking advantage of the UK’ when they migrate to the mother country?

I find it incredible that some who comment here think it’s somehow wrong that Bermudian’s loyal to the Crown since 1612 can be chastised for taking advantage of their birthright within the last few years since being given the right to abode, just because it doesn’t work both ways. Those who feel this way should note that this wasn’t lobbied or asked for by the OT’s it was freely given.

This used to be a very popular idea in TCI, almost %70 of TCI residents wanted the union. Now it’s an even better deal for TCI, with an offer of being it’s own province. As it’s own province it would not have a master, it would be it’s own for almost all purposes. The islands would probably have more Canadians there, although people from TCI would get free health care, be able to work and study in Canada for the average $45,000 a year salary and education and real estate in TCI would take off like a shot to be sure.

However a poll during the economic boom 8 years ago had not quite %50 of islanders approving of the idea.
