Saw the guy after he had done this – an older person at that. All they have to do is go to Ag and Fish to see who applied for camping permits along the stretch – BOOK AND SCRUB and refuse permits to anyone for that spot and others.

As mentioned further up by “Black Soil”, “it shouldn’t be too difficult figuring out who are responsible for the damages.”
Why hadn’t the authorities i.e. Ag. & Fish. or who it is that’s in charge of the Parks do the appropriate thing when they’d notice the trees damaged and charged the family camping there,(for the tearing the assss out of it?)

So sad when some of our lacklustred citizens has “no batteries include” n think they can do as they damn well please. However, if the courts applied more stringent measures to offenders; then maybe n only maybe they will realise that they are NOT above the Law. And yes, Police should make it their business to charge the offenders according to the guidelines of defacement. We need to recognise that this type of behaviour is unacceptable n we whom try to abide by the law, should take a stand as this is OUR island home n we must perserve its beauty so that those whom will follow behind us may have something left to admire……. BOOK ‘EM DANO. No warnings! No compromise! Set an example so that others will not do the same disrespectful thing. Shame on those who’s batteries still ain’t included. It takes just one……. Parks do ur part as well.

This is an unfortunate act! There was plenty of camping spaces along there as well as the beaches! I just think its selfish to spray paint on Bermuda’s treasures! These people need to find someway to undo their unthoughtful act. Let this be a lesson to all locals! Visitors come to Bermuda for its beauty and this mess is a disgrace. I’m embarrassed that someone wanted a spot that bad to spray permanent paint. #simplythinkbeforeyouact

Fine them then and there. If they are camped there then more than likely they damaged and defaced the tree. Get the police there while they camp and fine them. Haul them to court.
