They hide behind the name worldwide bermuda but they are owned by worldwide travel and bermuda is just a branch. when the US company decides to pull the plug there will be no more travel agencies anyway..the days of 60/40 are gone…

Many people cry fowl when a company closes because of lost jobs. What do you think all the people who go on the internet do. Put Bermudians out of a job when they pay for their tickets/cruises online. Sending money out of Bermuda and not ‘buy Bermuda’ so to speak. Agencies do not charge any more for tickets or cruises. What they do is charge a service fee.

It was a buy out and NOT a merger. World View Travel purchased Meyer Franklin. The press release did not give the full scope of what the ‘deal’ was. Many agencies have closed because of the worldwide recession. The opportunity was there for World View Travel and they made it happen.

I hope I am wrong. I have supported both agencies in the past and will continue to do so as long as prices are competitive and the service is there.
