In my opinion, the Governor and the legal authorities here will go to any length to avoid the damage to Bermuda’s reputation that would follow a concerted effort to bring justice. Transparency and a real 21st century approach to the avoidance of corruption are not forthcoming, partly due to the fallout that such an effort would create. Corruption laws concerning the Government and the legal system are a travesty by modern standards. Welcome to Colonial Britain. Enjoy your stay.
